Since the emergence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, known as COVID-19, education has shifted from traditional face-to-face learning to the extensive use of information and communication technology (ICT) tools, establishing a virtual relationship between teachers and students. The objective of this study was to identify whether there are research works that evaluate which digital tools can generate a more favorable impact on students’ learning—an impact that is not only meaningful but also lasting and transferable. The methodology employed was the PRISMA statement, commonly used in systematic reviews. This study presents an analysis of different authors’ positions regarding the impact of digital resources on learning. For this purpose, a documentary review was conducted between 2002 and 2025 using the scientific database Scopus. A total of 175 articles closely related to the objective of this research were found, of which 5 were excluded for not meeting the inclusion criteria, resulting in a final sample of 170 documents. The results show that between 2020 and 2022, there was a significant increase in scientific production concerning ICT and education. The literature review reveals that most studies highlight the importance of using digital tools, platforms, and media for promoting meaningful learning. However, none of them specifically determines which of these tools has the greatest impact on students’ learning outcomes. In conclusion, the integration of information and communication technologies (ICT) has generated diverse perspectives and transformations within the educational field, redefining teaching and learning processes in higher education.
